Check In Day
It takes a lot of volunteers for us to put on our Check In Day event for the Red Ribbon Ride. Volunteers help with the Safety Meeting, Forms and Information, First Aid, Check in, Donor Services, Camp Store and other various jobs. It's a full day and a ton of fun. Check In Day is Saturday, July 16, 2016
Gear Drop Off
Gear Drop Off is actually our second Check In option and participants are able to drop off their gear for the Ride. So all the same volunteer jobs at Check In Day plus some. Gear Drop Off is on Wednesday, July 20, 2016.
Join us to send off all the Riders and Crew at our Opening Ceremony. It's a busy morning with a lot going on and we need volunteers like you. At Opening Ceremony we have Bike Parking, Late Check In, Gear Drop Off, Traffic and more. Opening Ceremony is on Thursday, July 21, 2016 in the early morning hours and is located at the Mall of America.
Join us to welcome home all of the Riders and Crew after their 4 day journey at the State Capitol. There is a lot to do at the Closing Ceremony site to ensure a successful close to the Ride. Gear Pick Up, Bike Parking, Victory T-shirt distribution, food, hydration, Ceremony set up, Camp Store, Download and more. Cheer the Riders in as they cross the finish line. It's a busy, hard work and tons of fun. Closing Ceremony is on Sunday, July 24, 2016.
We have many events throughout the year where we need help with various jobs. Our volunteers make all our events special and a success.
Our Winter Expo works in partnership with several of our Community Partners and is a ton of fun. The Winter Expo is a combination of different vendors who offer discounts and support to Red Ribbon Ride Participants and a 2 hour Winter Spin Class to kick off the winter training season.
Red Ribbon Ride Launch Party
The Red Ribbon Ride Launch Party is a celebration for all those who are signed up for the Ride, thinking of doing the Ride and more. It's an open event to all who want to learn more about the Red Ribbon Ride and the community.
Training Ride Kick Off
Training Ride Kick Off is the launch of the official training season for the Red Ribbon Ride. Our Training Ride Leaders will follow with rides every week after to help prepare for the event in July. Training Ride Kick Off is an open event to all.
Day on the Ride
Day on the Ride is a one day bike ride exactly like one of the day's on the actual Ride. It is fully supported and offers everyone who is training or thinking of doing the Ride the opportunity to see if they are ready. This is a great event to volunteer for.
Thank You Party
After the Ride we want to be sure to share our appreciation with everyone who participated. Our Thank You Party is a great event bringing the community back together to celebrate the success of the Ride. All are welcome!
The Red Ribbon Ride produces a second event held in September called Pedal Camp. It's a 1 day event hosted over an amazing weekend of camping at our Benefiting Agency One Heartland's Camp in Willow River, MN. For more information about Pedal Camp just ask!
