Closing Ceremony is a high energy event designed to increase the excitement of the 4 day event. 

Spectator Information

Join us as our Riders cross the finish line at the Minnesota State Capitol. Celebrate the success of your loved ones with music, food, vendors and lots of cheering.

Please arrive after 11am to help cheer for Riders crossing the finish line. The Ceremony will begin at 1:30pm. 

Parking for spectators can be found at the Centennial Parking Ramp, Orange Level - southeast corner of Rev. Dr. MLK Jr. Blvd. and W. Central Park Pl.

Rider and Crew Information 

Ceremony - 
There will be a brief ceremony shortly after the route closes at 1:30pm. Riders, Crew, Volunteers, Friends and Family are all invited to celebrate Red Ribbon Ride 2016.

Finish line - There will be food, beverages, music, victory shirts and more at the finish line for you and your friends and family to enjoy!

Staging -

  • Riders will be asked to go to their bicycles and prepare for the Ceremony prior to 1:30pm. Please follow the instructions of the Crew. 
  • Crew will be asked to gather and enter after the riders go in. Please inquire with your Crew Captains or the Ride office for more information. 

Bike Parking - You must check into Bike Parking after crossing the finish line. Crew will instruct you as to where your bike should be located. Please follow their instructions. 

Gear Retrieval - Gear Retrieval will be located in Lot K. Your transportation will be able to enter into Lot K to retrieve your bag and will need to exit to keep flow of traffic moving. Please listen to the Traffic Volunteers for instructions when in Lot K. 

Transportation - The Closing Ceremony will conclude at 2:00pm. Please arrange for your transportation after that time. If you are taking Uber, Lyft or another Taxi service you will need them to pick you up off of Cedar and 12th or John Ireland and 12th. Please do not have them pick you up in Lot K. 

Airport - If you are traveling by plane the closest airport is Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
