The RideTHE RIDE

Red Ribbon Ride 2018 is a fully supported 2 day bicycle event to raise vital funds for HIV/AIDS services, treatment, prevention and awareness. This year's Ride will be held on July 20 – 22, 2018 at One Heartland, a beautiful sleepaway camp in North Central MN creating life-changing camp experiences for youth facing social isolation, intolerance or serious health challenges, including HIV. 

This two-day ride will feature multiple out and back distance options (including a Century option), onsite housing and delicious home cooked meals, options for camping and all of the beauty and fun One Heartland has to offer (campfire, hiking, swimming, canoeing, goats). Transportation to and from One Heartland will be available. Distance options and descriptions will be available on the website soon.

The Red Ribbon Ride benefits 5 HIV/AIDS service agencies here in Minnesota; African American AIDS Task Force, Hope House of St. Croix Valley, One Heartland, Rural AIDS Action Network and The Aliveness Project.  DAY 1 ROUTE OPTIONS

 Day 1 - Half Century Option

 Our 50 mile option is a designed to be accessible, easy for those who want an easy flat option or challenging   for those who have never achieved a half century ride. This beautiful route is along the Wilard Munger Trail.   You will travel north on a shaded, trail that will take you through Willow River, Stuergon Lake, Moose Lake,   Barnum, and Mahtowa. This is a smooth, paved, relatively flat trail.

 Day 1 - 85 Mile Option

 Our 85 mile route is a great endurance ride. The route starts by traveling through the heart of east central   Minnesota. This route has rolling hils, flats and beautiful landscape. At the end of the day you will travel back   to Camp One Heartland along the Wilard Munger Trail for a lovely, flat, shaded end to the day.

 Day 1 - Century Option

 Our 101 mile route is a challenging endurance ride with great climbs. The route starts by traveling through the   heart of east central Minnesota. The route continues north towards Duluth with some great hills to climb and   descend. This route has beautiful views, rolling hills, and steep climbs. At the end of the day you will travel   back to Camp One Heartland along the Wilard Munger Trail for a lovely, flat, shaded end to the day.

 DAY 2 ROUTE OPTIONS


 Day 2 - 35 Mile Option

 Our 35 mile route is an accessible option for Day 2 of the Ride. Whether you are a first time Rider and   challenging yourself or want to keep your legs from cramping after a long Day 1, you will enjoy this great   route. This route has rolling hills, flat stretches and beautiful scenery.

 Day 2 - 65 Mile Option

 Our 65 mile route is a challenging option for Day 2. The route starts by heading south through Finlayson and   up towards Kerrick. This route has rolling hills, flat stretches, lakes and beautiful scenery. Challenge yourself   with your longest mileage to date or enjoy a nice endurance ride after a long  Day 1.
