Red Ribbon Ride

Welcome to Team Oz's Ribbon Ride web page!

We are an inclusive group of people some of whom are members of St Joan of Arc Church in South Minneapolis, practicing radom acts of kindness being the 'hands and feet', who love to crew, ride, laugh and seek to create a presence raising funds for worthy causes. We ride together as a large group and in smaller groups from early Spring till late Fall. We never leave anyone behind!

Our primary fundraising focus is the Red Ribbon Ride. This year will be our team's 17th year on the RRR.  This team has been a part of this “Traveling Bubble of Love" since it's beginning.   We often refer to the Red Ribbon Ride as the "RRR", just incase you catch us saying that.  This is a 4 day, 300 mile fully supported ride July 21-24. Crew must commit to all 4 days. During the 4 day event, riders may join the Ride late or leave early, but remain responsible for the minimum fundraising amount and transportation to or from the ride.

We would love to have you join Team Oz by either:

Honoring us with a financial gift. Each team rider is responsible for reaching their own minimum, however gifts to the team are certiainly welcome and encouraged. However, if you wish to have your gift divided among a number of team members, please call the Red Ribbon Ride office at 612.822.2110 who can process your donation or send a check made out to the Red Ribbon Ride to Maureen Carlson, 8125 W 109th Street, Bloomington, MN 55438

Crewing for or Volunteering for the Red Ribbon Ride - We love our crew and volunteers!! They are the lifeblood for the riders and we need nearly as many crew as rider. Yep, sounds crazy, but that is what it takes for this event.  We LOVE our crew.  Crewing is a 4 day commitment. That may sound like a lot but living with HIV is a lifetime, so take a few days out to join us. Also, volunteers are needed to help, especially in the days leading up to the Ride, the morning we head out and the day we return, and after the event.
Joining us for a training ride -- no matter your cycling or fitness experience - everyone who commits to riding with us and training with us will be able to ride 300 miles over four days come July or something shorter of your choosing.

For more information about training rides, crewing, volunteering or anything else Team Oz related either write or call Maureen
