I'm Riding to Help Eliminate Stigma
Hi! I'm Tom, and you've reached my personal fundraising page for the Red Ribbon Ride! If nothing else, never forget that you're awesome just the way you are!
As many of you know, this is a fundraiser for which I have been touched personally. I was diagnosed with HIV in March 2006 while living in San Francisco. Having lived with HIV for over 13 years, I have worked though an immense amount of difficulty, addiction, and personal growth. Currently living a life of recovery in Minneapolis, I am testament to the fact that HIV need no longer be a death sentence. Out and proud, I hope to reduce the stigma around HIV as a living example of what's possible.
From August 16 - 18, 2019 I will be participating on the Red Ribbon Ride. Red Ribbon Ride 2018 is a 3 day, 200 mile bicycle ride from Minneapolis to Duluth that raises vital funds for five HIV/AIDS service organizations in Minnesota; providing HIV treatment, prevention and awareness.
I have set an ambitious fundraising goal of $3,000 and I need your help to reach it! I hope I can count on you to support me on my journey of hope for thousands of Minnesotans with HIV/AIDS and those at risk of infection.
Over the next few months I plan to update this page frequently so you can follow my progress, so please visit often. While you're here, spend some time on the site to find out more about why this event is so important, and learn about the people who will benefit from the money we raise.
Thank you for your support!
