Help me, help your friends and neighbors.
I am raising money for the Red Ribbon Ride by riding my bike 300 miles across Minnesota from July 21-24.
There are some amazing things in that first sentence.
First, I, Cindy, will be riding my bike 300 miles in four days. It is the second time I am doing it –So I know I am not going to die. However, there is no mystery anymore about how long it is, or how familiar my butt will be to my bike seat, or how steep the hills are and I should have done more “hill” training. Who knew Minnesota was so hilly? Or when it is over how much I will miss my bike-Ravin’ and want to ride it even though my legs say no.
Second, it’s in Minnesota – Minnesota is really beautiful and if you haven’t seen it at bike pace – you should. Think seriously about joining me – because it’s marvelous.
Third – it’s in July; it’s hot then. Everyone knows my favorite season is Winter.
Lastly and most importantly, the Red Ribbon Ride raises funds and awareness for those living with HIV/AIDS in Minnesota. Like real people that you know in your neighborhood receiving real help from great organizations that do awesome things like take kids and families living with HIV/AIDS camping and fishing, and offering crafts, shelter, food, therapy, medical assistance, and dignity.
I really need your help to reach my fundraising goal. There will be buttons and sweet t-shirts (image above) for those of you donating over $125 because I love you and everyone loves a t-shirt/button combo.
