Help Me Make My Difference.
I'm excited to be riding in my 5th Red Ribbon Ride from July 13 - 16, 2017. It is the 15th Anniversary Red Ribbon Ride. The Red Ribbon Ride is a 4 day, 300 mile bicycle ride that raises vital funds for eight HIV/AIDS service organizations in Minnesota; providing treatment, prevention and awareness.
My husband, Jeff will be back as a Roadie (crew) for the 4th time. The Ride would not be possible without the hard work of these folks. They schlep our gear; set up camp; send us off in the morning and greet us in the evening when we get to camp. Out on the road they feed us; provide bike maintenance and repair; monitor us along the road and bring us to the next pit stop if we can't make it there on our own. We have medical staff; massages; even someone blasting music from their car at the top of a challenging hill to keep us going. Roadies take 4 days out of their life to do all these things for us riders- always with a smile. Everyone doing their part for the Red Ribbon Ride.
My goal is to raise $5,000 and I need your help to reach my goal. I hope I can count on you to support me on my journey of hope for thousands of Minnesotans with HIV/AIDS and those at risk of infection. Over the past years I have met people who credit their being alive today to the organizations supported by this ride. Many of them are Riders or Roadies! I believe in this ride and the critical work it helps to make possible.
Please visit the Red Ribbon Ride website often. While you're here, spend some time on the site to find out more about why this event is so important, and learn about the people who will benefit from the money we raise.
Thank you for your support!
With gratitude and love,
