Help Me Make My Difference.
From July 21 - 24, 2016 I will be participating on my 5th Red Ribbon Ride. Red Ribbon Ride is a 4 day, 300 mile bicycle ride that raises vital funds for eight HIV/AIDS service organizations in Minnesota; providing treatment, prevention and awareness. I have started my training and am honored by all my team mates along with fellow team members who live with AIDS/HIV on a daily basis.
Early this spring, members from Team Shalom, our riding team, provided a Sunday brunch and played bingo with residents at Clare Housing. They live with AIDS/HIV everyday. Clare housing is the oldest and largest provider of permanent housing and supportive services for homeless or low-income indviduals and families. There are over 116 housing units and they serve over 150 peple annually. It was very memorable morning to give to the community, to meet the people who directly benefit from my ride and your contributions.
There are new cases HIV/AIDS every year. There are over 1.2 million people with HIV invection and 1 in 8 are unaware they have it. These eight beneficiaries support or HIV/AIDS. Clare housing amd Hope House of St. Croix provide supportive housing The Aliveness Project provides direct services, on-site hot meals, HIV prevention, therapy and self care advocacy. One Heartland, is a camp in Wisconsin that provides a camp opportunity for children who have HIV/AIDS, or a member of their family. These are a few of the impressive agencies.
I will take four days out of my life to ride 300 miles through the bluffs and beauty of southwestern Minnesota. Help me make this year a huge success! I was inspired by the support in the previous years from you and others. (I took last year off to attend my neice wedding in Portland, OR). My fundraising goal is $2,000. I really appreciate the support you gave me in the past. Would you make a tax-deductible donation to help me meet my goal? You can do so by visiting my personal page, using the link below, and click on "Make a donation to Caroline."
