Help Me Make A Difference.
This will be my sixth consecutive year riding the Red Ribbon Ride. I also turned 60 this year. So six seems to be an auspicious number.
Not too long ago riding 12 miles to Minnehaha Falls and back pulling a trail-a-bike seemed like a big accomplishment.
Over these past six years, I have become a strong biker riding distances I never thought possible and going up hills I would have tried to avoid. I have met new people that have become dear friends and have supported me in learning to bike safely and growing as a biker. I have become an active member of Team Shalom, a diverse group of people who share the love of biking and supporting those who bike.
What keeps me participating is the fun, the camaraderie and the opportunity to make a difference for those with HIV/AIDS.
I'm proud to say that in the previous six years, I have raised over $12,000 to support the eight Minnesota organizations that benefit from the Ride. My goal this year is to raise $2,000 or more.
Please join me in supporting the 2016 Red Ribbon Ride.
