2015 Red Ribbon Ride
My 12th year on the Ride!
Each year, I look forward to this reunion of friends out on the road making a difference in our communities.
It's hard to believe that it's been 12 years since a small group of us formed the first Wells Fargo team! It has also been 24 years since my brother died of HIV complications. The world continues to change in so many ways, but HIV is still here, and we need to do what we can to support those that are faced with it's many challenges.
I am excited for the 2016 Ride, as we will be going back to our original route thru beautiful southeastern Minnesota. Overnight stops are in Lake City on beautiful Lake Pepin (birthplace of waterskiing), Rochester (home to the Mayo Clinic), and Northfield (where the Jesse James gang was defeated in 1876). It's a scenic and challenging route, with lots of hills on the way to Rochester on day 2. Woo Hoo!
I'm also excited to be part of our Wells Fargo team. We already have several new riders and crew members this year that will be experiencing this great event for the first time, and I'm proud to be able to participate with them.
I have set my fundraising goal at $3000, which is daunting. I will need support from many people in order to meet this goal and participate. By supporting me, you are supporting the 8 beneficiaries who provide such needed services right here in Minnesota. They all do amazing work that is so vital to our communities and I am proud to be able to participate in this event and support them.
