Welcome to Bruce Franck's Red Ribbon Ride 2016 Fundraising Page
On July 21 I will start pedaling on my 2nd Red Ribbon Ride. For those not familiar with the Red Ribbon Ride, it is a 4 day, 300 mile bicycle ride that raises vital funds for HIV/AIDS services, treatment, prevention and awareness. The Red Ribbon Ride benefits 8 HIV/AIDS service agencies in Minnesota. African American AIDS Task Force, Clare Housing, Hope House of St. Croix Valley, Minnesota AIDS Project, One Heartland, Park House, Rural AIDS Action Network and The Aliveness Project.
The route starts at the Mall of America; on day 1 we will ride to Lake City on beautiful Lake Pepin. Day 2 we will ride from Lake City to Rochester. Day 3 will take us from Rochester to Northfield. On day 4 we end the ride at the Minnesota State Capitol. The course is both scenic and challenging and just as often filled with hills (my favorite part) – plus we all know how hot and humid July in Minnesota can be.
I am excited to be riding with Team Firm - Doug Melroe and I are sure to have some colorful conversations along the way. I still have vivid memories of the motivational chatter that got us both up the huge hill leaving Lake City on day 2 of my first Red Ribbon Ride. I know that the Cycle classes with Kelly and all the other great instructors @ THE FIRM, a number of long rides, and the weekly training sessions with Jesse, have all prepared me for the four day journey. My legs are ready, my bike and gear are ready, now I need to put my fundraising efforts in high gear.
I’ve set a personal goal to help raise $3,000 that will support the great work of the benefitting agencies. I need your help to reach this goal. I hope that you will join me by making a tax-deductible donation to my fundraising campaign. It’s easy - just click on the red "Donate Now" button on this page. Any amount – small or large – helps and is appreciated!
I donate because I can. I ride because I can, there are so many others that cannot, and need the life-saving support from these organizations.
Join me. Make your difference. Thousands of fellow Minnesotans are counting on us. Thank you for your support!!
p.s. Yes – I know, I know, I need to work on getting a picture with me on the bike!
