Thursday, July 18th Volunteer Opportunities at the Opening Ceremonies Opportunities include greeters inside and outside at the Mall's East entrance to guide riders to late check-in and bike parking, lead participants and spectators to the Best Buy Rotunda for the ceremony, and help at the Hydration Station (outside). Where: Best Buy Rotunda, Mall of America - Bloomington, MN Times: 5:30 a.m. - 7 a.m. ______________________________________________________________________
Sunday, July 21st Volunteer Opportunities at and before/after Closing Ceremonies Set-up, cheer in the incoming riders, hydration station, signs station, closing assistants, T-shirt distribution, lunch station, set-up and tear down Where: Closing Ceremonies at Minnesota State Capitol in St Paul. Free parking at Centennial Parking Ramp on Martin Luther King Blvd east of Cedar Street. Times: 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Please note that volunteer times and jobs later in the day can change due to how fast things get done earlier. This can be unpredictable)
- 11:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. at the Holding Area (Lower Mall): Opportunities include set-up, cheer for the riders, Victory T-shirt distribution, set-up and tear down. We especially need volunteer who can lift up to 25 lbs. to help unload the trucks and those who can drive 10' - 24' rental trucks.
- 11:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. at the Capitol: Opportunities include set-up, helping at the hydration station, Closing/Aids/Victory Lap Marshalls.
- 12:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Holding Area: Creative Station to help with spectator signs.
- 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Holding Area: Opportunities include helping with the lunch pit tear-down.
- 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the Holding Area: Load Ride Supplies into trucks.
